Yunnan, lungs of China

The first basic question that you ask yourself in Kunming (capital of Yunnan province) is: 'how the hell can those
people breathe here?' Air pollution is absolutely crazy... Fortunately, Jinghong which was our next stop turned
out to be much cleaner.

According to the China's own evaluation, two-thirds of the 338 cities for which air-quality data are available are
considered polluted - two-thirds of them moderately or severely so. Acid rain falls on 30% of the country.

moments of glory

The fight of the night was broadcasted live on the Thai national tv... The day after a friend of mine from BKK, who took
these pics (great thanks to Dia!), asked me unexpectedly if I had ever been on tv... I thought I hadn't.

Muai Thai /Lumpinee stadium/

A must-see venue in BKK... It was worth investing in 'ringside' tickets and also keep my eyes open all the time... When the
security fell asleep, I managed to enter the 'press zone' (the closest area to the ring)

Bangkok, Thailand

Photos from our last week trip to BKK. It was quite hard to choose pics for this post as I wanted to show this place
from different angles. I must have taken too many photos which resulted in too many angles that came to my mind...
Enjoy the ones below and, if you find time, visit my Flickr!

happy valley

Horse racing in HK commenced in 1841 with the arrival of the British. With the exception of a few years during World
War II, the track in Happy Valley has seen non-stop action ever since. The Hong Kong Jockey Club was founded in 1884
and changed from an amateur to a professional organisation in 1971. The growth of the sport's popularity was attended
by an increase in illegal bookmaking...

Having watched this display, I'm no longer wondering why Chinese people can live 150 years...
