Borneo Underwater by Ritwik

A few pics taken by a good buddy Ritwik, an enthusiast of underwater photography..
We divided tasks so that I was covering the land and him the underwater world..
This way I even had a chance to be on a few pics!

A close meeting with a really big one..

A scene from Big Blue, but this time these guys came out safe..

I think that I was a turtle in the previous life..

And finally.. the jaws.. it's quite of an experience to find yourself underwater with a fish of almost your size, but a bit of a more evil look

southside

one may think that in this part of the world dogs are a great culinary delight. As a matter of fact, not too far away to the
north, in the Guangdong province, ppl eat " whatever is alive and moving with its back upward" (citing my Chinese friend).

HK seems to be much more westernized.. not only ppl feel rather disgusted with eating dogs' meat, dress them up in some
funky dog wear, but even share tables in restaurants..

winter at a latitude of 22 15 N, 114 10 E

i'm gradually forgetting what proper winter looks like.. It's 15 degrees outside which made some local people take out their
winter coats. For a Polish polar bear like me it's a bloody joke...

happy valley

Horse racing in HK commenced in 1841 with the arrival of the British. With the exception of a few years during World
War II, the track in Happy Valley has seen non-stop action ever since. The Hong Kong Jockey Club was founded in 1884
and changed from an amateur to a professional organisation in 1971. The growth of the sport's popularity was attended
by an increase in illegal bookmaking...
