long weekend in taiwan.. i expected something very much different from mainland china - a vibrant small country striving to
remain independent from its big brother - but if sb threw me out of a plane without telling where we are, I'd say
"i'm in mainland china".. taiwan turned out to be more than similar, perhaps except for full characters on street ads..

Borneo Underwater by Ritwik

A few pics taken by a good buddy Ritwik, an enthusiast of underwater photography..
We divided tasks so that I was covering the land and him the underwater world..
This way I even had a chance to be on a few pics!

And finally.. the jaws.. it's quite of an experience to find yourself underwater with a fish of almost your size, but a bit of a more evil look

how to kill time series: kl inter'l airport...

Ritwik and Luigi, two brave fellow divers with whom I had a chance to explore the waters
of mabul and sipadan.. superman clearly won the contest..

how to kill time on mabul?

1) jump from the nearest bldg..

2) smoke some shisha..

3) play with local kids..

4) go to a local wedding and get handsomely blitzed with Filipino rum..

let's begin with some portraits.. it goes without saying, some of the most interesting people I've come across so far..
They seemed to love the lense and I tried to love them back by taking some shamelessly close shots..
in a few cases, clearly natural models..

KL baby...

random selection from KL.. here we gooo.. i'm not a huge fan of skyscrapers but i was
truly impressed by Petronas Towers.. very striking piece of metal.. in just a few minutes
by cab you can get to pretty undeveloped areas and then it's even more impressive
(i admit i didn't really manage to capture that).. no doubt it must have looked like a
spaceship for some ppl in '94 when it was built..
